CAPTAIN'S CORNER

Captaining a team is easy and rewarding!

Captaining a USTA league team can feel like a lot at first, but we make it easy. Whether you are a seasoned pro or a first timer, we'll provide you with the tools, guidance and support you need for a successful season.

What does a team captain do?

Captains keep the season organized and make sure players know where to be and when. It's part logistics, part leadership - and we're here to support you along the way.

Recruit enough players to field a full team (GIT can help connect you with players).

Confirm each player is eligible (correct NTRP rating, active USTA membership, league age requirments).

Coordinate match details with opposing captains and communicate updates to your team.

Enter match scores in TennisLink within league timelines (typically 48 hours).

Share key team info (schedule, rules, lineup reminders, contact list).
