USTA Membership & Ratings
To participate in Golden Isles Tennis Adult League play, all players must have a current USTA membership and a National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) rating for placement in the appropriate USTA League.

How Teams are Formed
USTA League teams are formed by volunteer team captains who recruit players during a registration period, typically about one month before the season begins.

Captains build their rosters by recruiting players or using the Free Agent list.
02.
Teams choose a home facility that meets Golden Isles Tennis League Regulations.*
03.
Once teams are set, match schedules are created and posted on USTA TennisLink.
*Many teams play home matches at the College of Coastal Georgia tennis facility, coordinated by the GIT Local League Coordinator
Adult Leagues Offered by Golden Isles Tennis
League Registration Fee: $28 per flight
Adult 18 & Older
Match format is two lines of singles and three lines of doubles.
Mixed Doubles
Match format is three lines of doubles. 18 & Over / 40 & Over.
Tri-Level 18 & Over
Match format is three lines of doubles with each line at a different rating level. Every court will have a same level opponent.
Adult 55 & Older
Match format of three lines of doubles.
Southern Combo Doubles
Match format is three lines of doubles with partners combined ratings at the playing level.
Flex Leagues
Flex Leagues follow the structure of traditional leagues with formed teams and a set schedule, but offer flexible weekly lineups based on player availability. This format does not advance to championships.
